Privacy policy.
Last updated: April 19, 2026
Marin Care Guide respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we handle it, and your rights under California law.
What we collect
When you submit the assessment request form, we collect:
- Your name
- Phone number
- ZIP code or Marin town
- Urgency / timing of your care need
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. We may use privacy-first analytics (such as Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics) that measure aggregate traffic without tracking individual visitors. We will not add third-party advertising pixels, retargeting, or cross-site trackers.
Why we collect it
Solely to respond to your assessment request — to call you within one business day, understand your situation, and schedule an in-home assessment if appropriate.
Who we share it with
- Formspree, our form-handling service, which stores a copy per their privacy policy.
- Our primary Marin home care partner — see About for our full editorial disclosure and the specific agency we refer to.
- A different provider, or occasionally more than one provider if we determine another agency is a better fit for your needs, if you ask for referrals to more than one provider, or if we cannot match you with a primary partner in your area. You will be told the specific agency or agencies before any referral is made.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketing lists or advertising networks. Our default practice is to refer your inquiry to a single provider — when multi-provider referrals are warranted (for example, in geographies we do not yet serve, or when you ask for more than one option), we will tell you the specific agencies before any referral is made.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are retained for two years for follow-up and service quality purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under California law (CCPA) and applicable regulations, you can:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of any future marketing (we do not currently do any)
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@marincareguide.com.
Children's data
We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18. Home care services are arranged for adults, generally by adult family members.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in a new "Last updated" date at the top.
